In this residence, limescale was clogging domestic hot‑water pipes while sludge built up in the heating loop. Physical water‑treatment units fitted to the main supply and hot‑water circuits cleared the water, allowed the softener to be switched off, and cut deposits, sludge and maintenance costs.
